my pair of dovii breed a few weeks ago. the fry have been free swimming for about 2 weeks. the male has become really aggressive towards the female as the fry grow. he is smaller than her and wasnt aggressive when they were breeding. would it help to take all the fry out or what would be the best thing to do because i would love to keep this pair?

a stury tank divider is a large breeding pair of cichlids best friend, sorta like a restraining order for abusive spouses. i keep on on hand all the time.

Yeah, if you're smart you'll give the female a safe spot in the tank away from the male. I learned my lesson after my male killed his first female.
You can leave the fry in the tank. In my experience dovii are pretty good parents.

egg crate works pretty well. i think you can pick it up at lowes or the home depot.
