Hey, I have a 11-12" male and a 6-7" female Dovii. The male Dovii pretty much keeps the female prisoner in her hide, attacking her almost every time she tries to come out for any reason. So much so that he even forgoes eating to make sure she stays put in there. The only time she has any chance at all of coming out is at night when the night lights on the tank are on. Is my male of the special variety or is this normal? I've never heard of anything like this happening to other fish keepers... and it's quite annoying as they are two beautiful specimen and I have quite a bit of space, time and money involved into them.
Somebody please enlighten me as to what may be going on here?
