Dovii owners

Does anyone have any video of aggressive behavior by a Dovii?

Also does anyone have any anecdotes or first hand experience were a Dovii killed or mauled a snakehead. I know dovii owners are usually very mature since this is not a beginners fish but there may have been some accidentel encounters or something like that.
I own a 16 inch dovii who is super aggressive but don't have a clue on how to post video. Also he is by himself so there is no chance of fish on fish agression nor will there ever be.

My god that was brutal

I don't see why it's not a beginner's fish. They are hardy and eat almost anything. Just need a big tank and choose tankmates wisely.

A dovii is not exactly an elite fish, they are cheap and easy to look after.

Out of the guapotes I prefer loiselleis and jags.

they are not exactly hard to care for but they do need a big tank to themselves. Mine was 20$ but he was wild caught at about 1.5 inches when i got him

Yes. My striata ripped the face off a dovii of similar size, and another member here ashdavid had a micropeltes kill a dovii of similar size.
