Dovii pair might be ready for breeding

This is the lastest video update of my Dovii pair and you should be able to notice the improved size and condition of the female.

She used to be the ugly duckling and was very beaten up but has developed into a beautiful fish with very nice colouration.
The male is really begining to develop a nuchal hump as well.

It's funny when he gets through the divider which he regularly does she hides in her log and the Gibbiceps bails to the other side of the divider.
I am not sure breeding will be successful in this tank as the filtration may be too strong.
I run an FX5 and an otto 2000L internal sponge power head on the 6x2x2.
Any opinions on breeding filtration??

I'd be very surprised if you had too much flow for them to spawn so long as neither the filter or the powerhead is blowing right on their spawning site.

I was worried about the flow for the fry more than the actual spawning.
I have had another pair spawn in there before but the eggs and fry didn't survive.

The parents will guide their fry through the mazes of flow. That's a big tank you have.

I agree with chatika. The flow shouldn't be a problem but I would cover your intakes with sponge filters so the fry can't be sucked up should they wander to close..
