So I was sitting on the couch when I looked over at my dovii (I spy on him throughout the day, yes I am I fish nerd) and he was staring very intently at my aunt. He doesn't do this to my wife or my kids. Then I thought of something, could it really be that he doesn't recognize her? I started tripping out as I've never had fish be that aware of its surrounding OUTSIDE of the tank. After she walked by a few times he relaxed and went about his business. He was like a guard dog allowing her to be there lol. So for those of you who told me to just be patient, he'll come around, THANK YOU! I was so close to getting rid of him. If any of you have had interesting experiences with your dovii please share.

My old Red Devil was the same way, that's funny. He claimed the whole family room has his terratory and would act differently towards any straingers then he would towards the people he saw every day. They are aware of what's going on around them. It's good to hear you stuck with him, once the switch turns on it stays on for life.
