dovii personality

I have a pair male about 5" female 4.5" and even with fry they still scared of me so really wondering the same
they murdered other fish in tank thou

Yeah some dovii are VERY skittish. They can be forever... which is kind of funny.
I had other dovii at only 3 '' inches glass banging. It really depends on the individual cichlid. From my experience, hand feeding them when they're juveniles helps.

yeahh I had a 4.5 inch one that really had the potential of being a brute glassbanger he was such a cool fish even as a baby. its hit or miss but the odd are in your favor cuz I never seen a skittish dovii
It depends, I have not ever seen a 16" shy one though.
If you raise it in the same tank and don't switch them in and out of tanks all the time, if you go buy a 16" there is a good chance it will take a while to feel comfortable and confident.

Lol, I've seen a 16 inch male dovii paired up.. was still a skittish pansy.
I agree with the hit or miss.
