I have a 13" Dovii living with 2 midas in a 220gallon...

He tolerates the midas but does chase them once in a while, Ive been thinking about introducing a pike into the tank. I just want to keep the tank lively for a year or two and then move out the pike. Would it be a disaster waiting to happen? He's already kicked out a 9" Festae M/F pair and he kept 6 clowns in hiding for a week!

Anyone have any suggestions about other tankmates? Keep in mind that I have to find them here on my side of the world..

If you have a setup with a big aggressive fish and a pike feel free to put it up!

I keep pike and dovii together. I have no issues. But i also have alot of space.

man sounds like youd be alright putting a decent sized pike in there...pikes are very quick and could probably get away easier than other cichlids...so just create enough hiding spots and you should be alright.

I have a Pike in with my Midas and they get along pretty well actually! Pikes are sooo fast that most regular fish can't catch them.

Get into the Pike section and look to see what would work best for you. A lot of very knowledgeable guys there too!

Pikes are incredibly quick. Mine strikes its food like a freakin' snake, and it doesn't miss very often.
