DOVII PRE-SPAWN VIDEO

Here are some pics and a video of my pair of Dovii pre-spawn. It's been a while since they spawned.......couples issues I guess. I wish I had a good camera to pick up there true colors better. The males maroon sheen and darker colors do not show up on this cameras videos or pics. There almost washed out as white? Anyway hope you all like them.

Congrats on the likely spawn. These two especially the male are quite impressive looking. I always love watching Parachromis raise their young as I feel no other cichlids are more protective of their young. Post more vids up as the spawn progresses.

Yea my jag pair are pretty laid back until they have fry to raise. I mean the male is a little skittish compared to the female, when they are raising a spawn he is a complete nut. It's tough to even feed them as he is banging the lids and jumping out of the tank.....a total different fish. He is more aggressive to me than the male Dovii with fry. They are fearless parents.

I hope to have it set up soon. I bought a house back in April and have been busy doing some things to that. I need to run another circuit in the basement before I can run that tank. Everything on that side of the basement is run off one circuit, that already has two tanks running off it. I don't think it could handle the 360 gallon also. So as of now I hope to have it up by the end of the year.

Sure thing, come down to Knoxville, build the stand, run a curcuit, run plumbing, get a pump, gravel, heater, lights and then go back to Seattle.
