Are Dovii ambush predators or active predator just wondering
What about mangrove jacks, ambush predator right? And could you explain to me how doviis hunt their prey. To be precise prey that they can't swallow whole. Prey that takes a little bit to swallow like a 28 in. dovii, eating a 9 in. Fish
Most Dovii are going to beat to death any other species you put in with them, even if they don't fit in the Dovii's mouth. Especially males.
dovii's have their guapote mouth shape, to quite literally rip apart prey; same as jaguars and salvini's
Just like human eat steak chunk by chunk they take chunks out from fish and overtime fish is like time to go mate time to go and next think you have a floater in the aquarium or a fish iwhichis capable of swimming upside down.
