dovii question

i have a female dovii she is about 6" now i noticed today she was just "sitting" on a pit she dug in the middle of my tank. she still acts normal during feeding time but goes right down to her pit after. before she would be around raising hell with her tank mates and her pit was in the corner on the opposit side of the tank. checked the water all is good i do 25 % water changes once every two days 50 % once a month. all others in the tank are acting normal. shes in a 120 with a male midas, female fh, male convict all around the same size give or take a inch. any thoughts?

well, the tank has too many agressive fish in it imo and its possible she needs her little pit to have some territory and feel secure.

only guess is she may have bred with one of your male cichlids and is preparing a nest and has to get back to guard it and such, ussally though the males will help out with that sort of duty so i don't know exactly, midas is lovely btw
