Dovii questions.

Hi, im planning on getting a Male Dovii. Im gonna put him in several tanks and wait til he outgrows each tank.

How fast does a 3" Dovii grow? (" per month)

Im gonna buy him a 128L tank and wait til he outgrows. How long will that take?

Then from the 128L to a 325L. How long will it take him too outgrow that?

Then finally will be put in a 720l (180g). Then ofcourse growing takes s long time that i will not have to think about that for a long time.

Ive heard that a Dovii can live with some umbee cichlid, Can anyone show me a pic of an umbee?
Are Umbee rare?
Can thei live with Dovii?
Im not planning on getting an umbee though, i want him not to be used to tankmates...

My male dovii grew from 1.5 inches to 9 inches in a year. No umbee with dovii.

So far I've only had female Dovii but they grew an inch a month up until 5-6" then slowed down.

My male grew about .75 inches a month steadily until I sold him at 18"+.

I have a dovii pair in a 125gal when i got them about 8 months ago my male was 3" now he is 9" so a little less than 1" inch a month is what i got. I do a 50% wc every week i feed a varied diet with hikari gold as a staple food.

definitely don't mix with umbees in tanks that small
