So I got my female dovii about two weeks ago. I instantly fell in love with her. Well i was at the lfs the other day and noticed a nice looking male. So long story short I ended up getting him. Hes about 10" and shes around 4". I currently have them in a 75g, I have an empty 150g and will be getting a 180+ soon. I have the tank divided but she can go over to his side, which is fine with me as long as she can get away from him when or if she needs to. So my questions are; how long should I leave the divider in there, a week? a month? They get along great right now, she is on his side a lot and they just kinda sit there together. No chasing or nipping whatsoever. My next question is, he just sits in the corner of the tank when im around (theres spots where he digs so maybe he swims when im not around.) Is he still settling in? My female was fairly skiddish when i first got her but now she will come to the front of the tank when im around. I've been feeding cichlid staple, cichlid gold, frozen krill, floating carnisticks and massivore. Is this an ok diet for them? Sorry for all the questions, still new to dovii.
