somewhere in the woods
i came home from a weekend away to haven lil tadpole looking fish in the tank i scooped about 50-100 out and put in the 20 gallon tank they r wigglin all round now for about a hr will they be ok in that tank and survive ...there is about another100 in the tank with the parants looks like she is either eaten them or collecting them to put in the boat again ....this is like their 7th spawn but she has always ate the others i am hopen to raise some fry and watch them grow out ... anyone with some info or help

yeah the other tank they r in now has a sponge filter heater and i m planing on feed brine crushed of course....im just wondering if they r goin to make it i noticed the 100 left in the tank she collected and moved into anthoer part of the boat but didnt eat em

Put them in a 10 gallon with water from the parent's tank and they will be fine, bare bottom tank. They can eat fine powdered food and bbs as soon as they are swimming. Good luck.

they r in a 10 gallon tank its own water can flip their water in some has sand bottom they r lil tadpole looking things zipping all around hopen man hopen this is the 7th time and she always eats em but i got em out now

I found some baby fry food made my Hikari at petsmart last week, kinda pricy but it works amazingly.

They'll be okay as long as they are getting enough food and you can keep the water clean. You may want to try hatching some BBS now so that they have food to eat once they become free swimming (or, buy some decapsulated brine shrimp eggs *highly recommended*).

There are numerous articles online that tell you how to do this. Most describe making hatcheries with light and dark areas but all you really need is a soda bottle, an air stone and a light. Add some aquarium salt to their water and you'll get more shrimp. More than enough to feed a few fry for a week or two until they can be fed prepared foods.

After about a week free swimming you can feed them (frequently but sparingly) pulverized flake or hikari first bites. It's good to have a small pleco or even some snails on the take to clean up.
At this point just keep their water clean with frequent water changes and your on your way.

thanks flowerpower ( thats funny man my last name is flowers and they called me that sh&t all the way thru school ) yeah their water is good tested before i flipped em and ill do my best at getting some fry now .....once they get alil bigger they are all goin into the 120 to grow out some
