What exactly is the behavior of dovii when the are spawning.
I didnt see them do it the first time, and I think their doing it
again, but I'm not sure.

Could really use some feedback on this cuz I got approx 100 fry
right now in a separate tank, and dont really want more until
I get rid of the first batch.

 dont cry.

Ever think it might be 19 guests looking for the same answer that were lead here by search engines? (shocking that someone would use one of those things, I know)

or 19 members needing an answer too, so they looked to see if anyone responded?

Dovii do & look the same way every other fish thats spawning does...brighter colors, protecting the area they laid eggs in, fluttering & vibrating trying to attract their mate.

Good luck finding 100 people that have tanks that can house dovii properly for your fry you already have, not to mention the potential other 300+ you could have on the way if they spawned.

Using them for feeders is gonna be your best bet probably.

do you have any wholesalers near you? you could give them a call and see if they carry dovii. i know my wholesaler cant get them and buys mine at 2 inch size for 1.50 each. i raised them in a non heated tank on a 4 doller bag of flakes. they will take the whole batch. if you can run into something like that then it would be worth raising them if not do like the others said and use for feeders.

Be happy they're atleast breeding with other fish. My stupid Texas is trying to breed with a blue crystal rock thingy.
