I picked these fish up from different stores a few months ago. I didn't want brother and sister fry is that even really matters. Female is about 6 inches, male is about 5 inches. Both have doubled in size. Currently eating hikari pellets, earthworms, cut up shrimp, tilapia, and silversides. Both eat like crazy. The past few weeks Ive noticed my male doing a shimmy dance in front of the female, and flaring his gills. How big do they need to be to spawn in your experience. Is it better to let them do their thing naturally, or keep them separate until they are a little bigger. I just wanna do this right. They are both currently alone in a 125 until I'm finished with my 700 gallon pond which will be their forever home.
