Dovii stunt question

Just got a dovii he's about an inch, I'm hoping he's a he but anyway I put him in my 50 gallon to grow out how long can he stay in my 50 gallon without getting stunted?

I would say move him to bigger tank when it 5+ inches probably in 3 or 4 months depend on how you feed him.

8" would be max I would personally go. 75 is a way better grow out. Then bump him to his big boy tank at 12" or start him out in his big boy tank. More space and volume of clean water the better his growth rate will be. Avoid any 4ft tanks with overflows as well from personal experience.

If its a he there will be spots all over the unpaired fins at 2-3". Thanks nwatson for that info.

Well I have my 220 setup and ready to go for him I'm just prolly going to keep it running for a few months it does have a overflow so I want to wait till its at least 4 inches then I'll move him
