Dovii tankmates ????

I have a 6" Dovii that I've been growing in a 30 gallon tank and am ready to put him in his own 110. Are there any fish that will be compatible??? I would like have more than one fish in the tank. I have a 5" butt. thats pretty tough. HOW ABOUT SMALLER CATFISH ??? Do they just kill for fun or only when they feel threatened ???? This is my first Dovii and I dont know much about their behaviors. Mine has been alone since 2" and almost killed my 7" black shark already. The tank is cycling and almost ready. I figure its best to add all the fish together before the Dovii sets up his territories.



Any ideas ?????

try a large pleco.i wouldent try anything else unless u want it as a feeder.:D
 
They pretty much kill for fun and territory. It can be done with dovii in large large tanks/ponds like 1k gallon but won't work in a tank that small.

You could try stuff like pleco's, other stuff that hides alot. But probably not alot will work.
 
Dovii kill pretty much anything for fun.
 
I've got a 4" dovii that is giving a beating to my two 6" Sun Cats.. Usually it's when they come into his cave, but sometimes it's for fun too. I'm looking for a new home for them as we speak..
 
Thanks for the Info........ I always thought he would have to be kept alone. How about other Dovii's of the same size ????

my mate, keeps a 8" dovii with a 8" umbee! and there actually not that bad! they have the odd blew and omfg it can get nasty! as i type this post he's putn the dovii in a 150 gallon by it's self...so...really...i'd keep it alone
