Dovii Update <------

have had him almost three weeks now. third attempt at feeders and he finally struck and swallowed. he's been killing them but not eating.

I know doviis are piscivores but mine did the same thing, he always killed the feeders but never ate them. I broke his hunger strike with blood worms eventually. my dovii was more picky about food then my ball python.

yeah...today was the first time i've seen him eat. he hasn't shown any interest in bloodworms, earthworms, pellets, market shrimp, krill, etc. he only ate one rosey red. it's a start.

Glad to hear hes getting there. Just give him time to get all settled in and he'll be ok and no problem thanks for the update

my mates dovii just ruins it's food n doesnt eat it...lately tho it'll mash a goldfish...then eat it...makes a mess of the tank lol! awesome dovii

since the last post he's definately fattened up. he ate all 6 of the rosey's and 2 small goldfish that same night. (at lights out) he seems to have settled into this setup.
