Dovii vs Red Tiger Mota

Here's a couple of pictures I was able to take of my 6 inch male Dovii and 6 inch male Red Tiger going at it. They rarely ever fight but this time they locked for about two minutes and then they were done, the Dovii submitted in the end, order and chain of command was restored....

I agree. Probably going to see more of that as they mature and the Dovii takes charge of the tank.

Thanks for the comments everyone......as of right now, the Red Tiger runs the tank in terms of the cichlids, but the Jardini you see in the pictures is the actual boss of entire tank, they all stay away from the Jar. The Jardini usually keeps the tank in check not allowing the others to fight....The Dovii is sub dominate and usually just moves out of the way when the Red Tiger comes by, the RT never really goes out of his way to chase the Dovii......When they get older and if I do see constant aggression from the Dovii, I will miss it, but I will probably give up the Dovii before the Red Tiger....

personally i'd keep the dovii over the RTM but i'm a bit biased towards dovii as i've never owned a mota
