For those of you who didn't see this already. http://www.dasmotorsports.com/video/dovii-vs-rhom.wmv

Just dropped into a tank who can say this Dovii doesnt have a set?
IMO if the dovii was the established fish I think the Rhom would have never known what hit him.

The original poster had this to say on PF.
"ere is the scoop. I bought this fish for 10 bucks since the LFS had a guy trying get rid of it and they had no room for it. I did them all a favor and took this guy home to see if the Rhom would take on a room mate. I have tried a 8" red belly in the past and that didn't work at all.

I had a buddy who wanted the fish since I didn't really have room for it if they did not like one another. (Tat2punk is the freind. He is also the one who made the video and is hosting it for us.) He now has the fish and it is doing fine and healing."

I don't understand what's so impressive, the rhom took a chunk out of it and the dovii didn't fight back?

No offense, but that doesn't really qualify as having a set. It didn't cower in the the corner like a ***** no, but it didn't fight back.

I put a dovii in with a snakehead to see if this particularly aggressive channa would accept a tankmate, and in this case the dovii actually fought back but got killed in the process.

What happened afterwards? Was the dovii removed and given to the friend straight away or?

Again though the dovii was just dropped into the tank. Even in your case the snakehead was established? Nothing was impressive at all about it in fact it's sorta a shame somebody is so retarded to do such a thing. It just shows IMO that the Dovii was more aggressive than the Rhom. Now if the tables were turned and the Dovii had established territory I think it would have been all Dovii and No Rhom. Rhom are not territorial at all and Dovii are.

Doviiking, I've never owned a rhom so I don't know what they're capable of. Maybe if the rhom was dropped into the dovii's tank it would have been killed by the dovii sure. All I'm saying is being dropped into the new tank or not, simply nudging the rhom a bit isn't really that impressive. I've seen "newbie" fish give much better fights than that.

What a waste of a beautiful dovii.

If this was a deliberate set up, the owner's a retard....idiocy

IMO that is a dumb video.
