Two days ago I gave my young 6" male Dovii feeders for the first time. He was already aggresive but kind of shy, but after eating feeders for the first time his whole attitude has changed. He is now attacking my Plecos, and he never attacked my Plecos before. Has any of you ever seen a fish get his first taste of live food and go from a shy but aggresive fish to a fire breather?:FIREdevil

Yea thats what i heard too ^^ feeding a aggressive fish live food increases their aggressiveness towards everything else in the tank...

Which if its a community tank then may not be a good thing....

When I started feeding my 1.5" Jag small crickets (live) it killed 1 of 3 guppies in his tank and chased the others
I took the guppies out yesterday

yup...and if were a single specimen in a tank by itself, maybe it will be more aggressive towards anyone outside of the tank...i knoe 4 inch male dovii is already flaring at my hands when near the tank sometimes...he even tries to bite my syphoning tube. :nilly: if it were in a community tank then everything would be dead and demolished

yep i agree. i used to rarely feed my CA community tank live food as it definitely increase aggression in the tank.

single specimens are cool to feed live food as they become tankbuster glassbangers in no time!!

I've had the opposite experience.
