i just got a dovii about 3-4 inches and i'm going to put it into a 100 gallon with 2 convicts and if it gets to aggressive i will take the convicts out. Any suggestions on how to decorate the tank or wht to feed them or if anyone has pics of their dovii's and tank setups that would be great! Thanks
 
I would decorate the tanks with large boulder type rocks and caves..since doviis like to make there home in the banks of rivers..so the rocks would give them places to retreat at nite..but other then that driftwood would look nice and so would plastic plants that are really anchored down..

as for feeding anything meaty such as kril, beefheart, silversides, shrimp, also vegetable matter should be in his diet..ghost shrimp is a good live food..do not feed him or her feeders unless they wre quarentined for a couple of weeks and bulked up with vegetable matter..other then that hikari or omega one pellets are the best choice for dried food..any other questions feel free to pm me or just leave a reply..

:iagree: Spot on I can only add yes they like rocks but any where they can hide out to ambush. My one Like hiding in bog wood and I also have a large pot in the tank she lurks in. when she was 3-4 “she loved earth worms (night crawlers) and mussels.
 
Thnx..stotty I like to think I know enough about doviis to really help people...and were do u get ur bogwood from..I can't seem to find a distributor anywhre...and u could also feed ur dovii....crickets and mealworms as well as oranges..my fish love that

I am very fortunate that my friend owns my LFS and that peace came out of his secret stash for his own tanks I saw it and had to have it.:D
