I just discovered I have a 6'' male dovii. This thing is growing FAST too. My question is..would it be alright in a 5' round 1' deep kiddie pool? If not would an 8' round 2' deep be better? Anything that can be kept with it?
yeah don't quite get that. lol I'd go 8x2 but if you like the fish find a way to make a cover for it as I've heard of them jumping out of uncovered tanks. Not as much as arows but just a suggestion.
tank mates are tricky. You have a big area there but dovii are notoriously pricks so it'll be trial and error probably. I want to say nothing will work besides maybe a female, but there are exceptions to every rule and with large ponds you can do alot of weird combos that won't work in a smaller tank.
But provide plenty of hiding spots for whatever you try to make a tank mate. And be ok going in with the chance that it won't accept any at all.
