Matter of opinion. I wouldnt put a dovii in less then a 6x 30inch foot print.

My personal opinion is all dovii should live like Mel's pair but agreed 6x30 is the best for bare minimum.

The bigger the tank the better plain and simple. Min for me like I said is the tank I have 6x2x 30 inch wide. And if you end up with a crazy dovii ( which is pretty much most) a 18 inch dovii can make a tank like mine look very small just by thrashing makeing water come out and have a chance of hurting himself. These fish are not just big lugs they are very powerful and you have to see a large one to know!!!

I would not advocate a cube tank, a 6x2x30. tall tank. and they tend to be mean, my jag not stand a chance against one and she is mean.

Thanks Everyone!!! Really happy with this guy. He has quite the personality and was never shy!.I will be introducing a real nice female this week for him.
He was from a group of fry that I got from a buddy of mine that imports New worlds. I singled out this dovii because he had developed blue fins at only 2 inch. Then he went from me to another buddy, from him back to the original owner of the pair, back to me at 10 inch Here to stay
