Really love dovii and I know everyone said a 180g is too small but I think I'm gonna get one until it outgrows the tank. How long will I be able to keep him in a 180? It's gonna be male I was thinking it would be for at least 3-4 years...

Cheers, tom

Beyond everything everyone is saying to you about doviis I've raised them up twice and currently have one I'm growing out now I got him when he was like two inches and had him in a ten gallon for about a yr then transferred him to a 40 something bow front he's been in that for about two yrs and is doing great in it. He is however going to be moved into a 220 gallon tank eventually but for now he's been fine and will continue to be thus what I'm saying is in a 180g tank you will have plenty of time with that fish. don't let them scare you out of owning one of the best fish out there by throwing out giant tank sizes for these fish yes they need it eventually but let's see if you can grow him to that size before you go put a 2" fish in a monster tank. Get the fish love the fish and everything will work out

Awesome there great fish with an awesome personality . Don't make the mistake I did with my first one and introduce feeders too soon get them on pellets then let them have other things occasionally . Although my dovii now is like 7 or 8 inch and won't eat big pellets only eats 2mm pellets. It's messy lol he hates big pellets for what ever reason I dunno lol.

Truthfully I felt like this one grew slow then one day he was huge I dunno tho got him at 2 inch three yrs ago now he's 8 inchs

because the big pellets are too big! That's why he eats the smaller pellets. They are big hard pellets!!

a little dovii fish does not have a system of steel inside him with mad torque power. They gotta chew and break it down like a fish too
