Hi.
have read through the silicone thread. enough info and conflicting opinions there to make one's head spin. Especially for a layman as myself.
would like to ask if any experienced persons have tried the product in the title and have comments on it.
It's the only kind I can find thats been mentioned here on MFK locally.
Application will be for an approx 7' x 6' x 1" piece of glass into a stainless steal frame for the viewing glass in concrete tank. Have seen 791 mentioned on the net for large tanks. * stainless frame fused to concrete and welded into internal steal infrastructure already.
On the primer:
Dow Corning website lists the 791 to be compatable with stainless steal surfaces but the primer is supposed to make non=porous surfaces stick better. Thing is there's 2 "1200"s on the site. One is 1200 RTV and the other is 1200 OS. Anyone know which is better for 791 or aquarium applications?
Thank you.
