Hey everyone been feeding my fish blood worms 2-3 times a day (they are babies) and was wondering if i should occasionally switch it up with shrimp pellets and sinking hikari. I have a few bichir 3 rainbow sharks and a pair of convicts

THANKS

Feeding nothing but bloodworms is not a balanced diet. Even fish that are primarily carnivores in the wild still get plant matter and nutrients from ingesting the gut contents of their prey. Your best bet is to use a good quality pellet as a staple, and throw in treats like bloodworms periodically.

oh okay thanks

Agreed. Frozen food should be a treat every now and then.

Too many bloodworms are just too much protein and fat, feed them too much and the fish will have nutritional defects and could develop things like fatty liver disease. Best to use a flake or pellet staple.
