Dr. jekyl and hyde???

Okay... this is weird, its been like 3 months or so that my flowerhorn has had this black patch on exactly half of its face, at first i thought it could be a disease of some sort but he's been acting normal and eating normal this whole time.. nothing out of the ordinary... just that black patch on the whole half side. Now i kinda like the way it looks... hahah... looks like a totally different fh from each side.. lol. i think it gives him more Character!
Has anyone ever seen this or know what this could be? and will it go away?

We had a young jack dempsey come into work that had the same exact blotch on his face. We called him Two-Face
