Anybody here kept a duck-billed or dragon knife for a long period of time?
I just got an albino about a week ago and it seemed fine the first few days.
But I'm worried it's not eating enough, and it's starting to look skinnier and act a bit listless.
It's about 12'', but I've been feeding it mysis shrimp and bloodworms as it doesn't really seem to have a mouth capable of opening very wide. He seemed to be eating the mysis at first, but now seems to spit them out and maybe eat a little. I think he's a bit more into the bloodworms but still not very aggressive in terms of eating. Haven't seen him take a good mouthfull yet, just the occasional individual worm or shrimp bit.
Water params are 6.8 ph (going to lower it to 6.5ish soon), 80 F, and haven't done other tests yet this week but generally keep my tanks at 0. I recently added some salt to treat some CLs in the same tank for ich, but it's a small amount geared at scaleless fish. He hasn't shown any signs of ich, but I could see the salt being a factor.
Would love any advice or thoughts anybody can provide.
