Okay, so I have a dragon goby In a 10 gallon brackish tank. I will move him when he gets bigger. He keeps going to the surface and blowing bubbles. I'm not sure what he's trying to do. Pleeze help!

It means you need to do a water change and move him to a bigger tank ASAP. It really shouldn't take long for it (even at this size) to outgrow a 10 gal. I've heard of them exceeding 2 ft. within a year of purchase.

no, they dont get over two feet dragon goby or lavender gobys get about 12 inches and then begin to thickin out while young often very very thin. honestly you probly have to much salt in his tank they dispite what many say are a more fresh water fish only take about as much salt as you would put in a live bearing tank need nomore then that. also they are harmless, that is if you ahve the correct name for the goby you have.

Well I'm not sure what fish you're talking about, but we're all talking about the violet goby, Gobioides broussonnetii.
They do grow over 2 feet long. I've seen pictures and heard a first-hand account of two different specimens that have exceeded that size and are no more than 3 years old. Also, there are pictures of one in this forum that have made it to 16".
I don't know exactly what specific gravity the fish would do best in, but they move through a very wide range of salinities as part of their breeding. The salinity being too high seems kind of unlikely as a potential problem. Water quality is definitely the issue. Air breathing in this species is the fish's response.

I just changed tha water after I posted this and he seems to have calmed down quite a bit. I am actually slowly converting him to brackish water one water change at a time becaust the fish store I got him at had him in freshwater. Thanks for the help!
I am pretty shure Gobioides broussonnetii can grow to two feet.
