DREAM FISH ???????

If you had an empty 55 gallon tank 48" x 12" x 20" and you could put any CS\SA fish(s) you want in it..........What Would it Be?????.

It doesnt have to be rare or expensive, It just has to be able to live out its entire life in a 55 gallon.

it would be.... on its way to be sold so I could buy something bigger. at least my empty 55 is.

it's hard with the 55's as you could get say 1 jd, or something of similar size or a few smaller cichlids. for me though i've grown to despise the 12" footprint not enough room for nice wood and if you do put nice driftwood in there, you don't have any meneuverability to gravel vac.

Couple discus and rams + school of tetras and some corycats, heavily planted w/ swords. Predictable answer I know but eh, the space constraint.

A 55g is too small to house anything I'd want - thus the reason why I sold my three and bought a 150g

I would probabley go with a pair a Topajos II pikes, to me they are one of the coolest looking fish you can get.

I already have a 100g, 75g, 2x55g, a 29g, and a 20g. I dont think I need any more tanks......lol.

I am leaning towards a pair of Salvini because of their bright color and medium size.

Cryptoheros nanoluteus are always fun, you could shove a lot in a 55 with driftwoods and plants and all that.

The main thing i have learned in fishkeeping is that you always want more tanks, not just that, bigger tanks!

I would keep, a few pairs of dwarf CA/SA cichlids like A. cuckatuoides, A. Agassizi, M. Ramirezi and more.
