So I'm a big day dreamer (watch fish doesn't help the problem) and I decided to make a list of all the fish I want in a dream tank. Some of them I know won't go with everything else so I'll divide it up abit.

These are solo or only 2 in a large tank:
-dovii (because why not)
-trimac
-RTM
-festae (unless it can go with the list below in a very large tank)

These would be my "community" cichlids:
-Jack Dempsey
-EBJD
-green terror
-Texas/carpintis
-severum (probably red because that's what the wife likes)
-chocolate cichlid
-blood parrot (maybe, wife loves them, I do not)

And here's an oddball list that I'd consider in the same "community" cichlid tank that aren't SA/CA:
-bleekeri
-jeweled cichlids
-eel (unsure on type)
-stingray? (I have 0 info on these atm)

And for dither/extra fun:
-Denison barbs

That's really all I can think of off the top of my head, though I'm resently new "back" into the hobby (if you could call a high schooler with a couple of fish "into" the hobby in the first place) so I'm sure more fish may get added to the dream list. The cichlid "community" tank would be 700-900 gallons.

Also forgot to add, if yall have any problems or suggestions with my idea, let me know (apart from the bleekeri won't work... Cuz it is now and I've seen it work in other tanks)

You definitely are a dreamer, nothing wrong with that. A 700-900 gallon tank is quite the dream.

My experience with Carpintis is they are very territorial. No less than a 6 ft long tank for them once they hit about 4" or so. But with that tank size, dont think you'll have much to worry about there.

The tank would be a room divider in a dream house. Built into the wall between living room and dining room. And ya, that's what's preventing me from a carpintis now. I have only a 55 with jacks and bleekeri. No room at all actually but the fact that they are territorial kept them out in the first place. Though the bleekeri was some what of an impulse buy and he's been territorial too.

Thanks. Everyone says use giant danios but I don't care for they way they look. Roseline seem fast enough and they school so I thought they'd work well. Haven't tested yet since I only have a 55 thought.

if you would want an EBJD , in the community , it should be at least couple of inches bigger than the rest , as they are slow growers and can be pushed around a bit and stressed

I have an EBJD now, and he's actually meaner than the JD.

Thats now....see how they are in 6 months

Everyone is around 5" and I don't foresee a change. Each fish is an individual and my individual EBJD has an attitude. Had them both in the tank from 2-3" and for about 8 months.
