Okay so I was doing some math and I think I figured out what I want to build for my in home "Dream Tank" Most of us on here can only dream righ now due to lack of funds but who says there is anything wrong with that. I have already started saving for the build $50.00 in a jar and I hope it accumulates quickly lol. I want to hear what all your dream tank dimensions are. I am fairly new to MFK and did not see a post like this yet, so I apologize if there is another.

Here is my "Dream Tank"
96"x48"x24"
It comes out to needing:
4 4x8 sheets of cell cast
1 4x4 sheet
and some scraps for overflows and such
= out to be 478.753 Gallons :headbang2

I want to stock with
1 Black Aro
1 Clown Knife
Lots of Bichirs (A few P. endlicheri, A couple Delhezi, and a few armored)
Any other suggestions are more than welcome. I have been throwing around the idea of a RTC and some Rays but I need to research rays as I have never owned one before.:feedback: Feel free to comment, good/bad on my tank dementions and stock list.

If it were me would want something taller. So a monster fish could swim at different levels as well as back and forth. Maybe another foot taller and a foot less front to back or depth.-------------My dream on the other hand would be a 17' long by 4'tall by 3'wide. So it would be as long as a wall in the basement. This tank would also have to be self cleaning and self maintenancing as well. lol

yeah taller would be nice the closest thing I could find was a 770.29 gallon for $3500 at 130x37.5x36.5

Mine would be a 10X4X3 with pbass rare pikes etc... it would be planted.

mine would be a 300 gallon tank with a pair of pirahnas and about 75 guppies! Haha mwahahahah they would breed so quickly and the fry could hide it would be heavily planted. Get a good filter, wet dry so I wont have to have heaters and stuff clogging back. And then have auto feeder. BAM!

Well I have "realistic" dream tanks, and "non gonna happen" dream tanks. The "not gonna happen" would be bigger than my house, because it would hold arapaima. Not even going to get into dimensions. Realistically (but still probably not going to happen), 12-14' x 4-5' x 4-5'. I could make a stock list, and probably change it every day because there's so many fish I'd like to keep.

8x3x3 being realistic..

30x10x8 all glass with 2 3x3x3 boxs built into the bottom so i could sit in it for hours...

my realistic dream that i am saving up for currently ;) is a 3x300g system with at least another 300 sump for them. i would jsut turn of the system and drain the sump and add 300g more for water changes. one tank would be a comm schooling tank with like 15x15 schools (maybe planted). the second would be an african cichlid tank. Third would be a planted discus tank with at least 10 discus.

Next after that would be a 1000g SW tank for kicks

but since we're dreaming lets multiply all those gallons by ten!! or a hundred? :D lol
yeah and a 10k gal ray pond
and a 1mil gal dolphin pond
and a 100k penguin pond
and Sea World while we're at it.
