Good afternoon,
I'm planning my dream tank. So I'm starting this thread to shotgun some ideas to see what you guys think.
Tank: 300-400 gallons.
Filtration: 2 55 gal sumps with a large canister (mostly for water polishing)
Type: SA biotope
Substrate: river pebbles and river rocks
Decor: Some driftwood maybe some rock caves and larger rocks for hiding places and aggression diffusion
Stock: TBD definitely a cpl of species of Peacock Bass a pike and a catfish (I have never successfully kept a catfish).
This project is going to take several months as I have a life. However, some tasks will be accomplished
simultaneously.
Stage 1
Clean out an area in my storage room for supplies extra tanks, work space etc.
Set up storage/work area
Bring my 125 up and possibly a 55 gal as a grow out tanks.
Begin shopping for the main tank
Diagram filtration system.
Stage 2
Purchase tank and stand.
Purchase Substrate and decor
Build sumps
Stage 3
Fill and test
Stock
Enjoy!
This should be fun!
I will post pics as I go.
