I am so ecstatic at the moment! I really believe that dreams can come true now.
So the story is, I check craigslist almost every night for mainly catfish, but other things as well, and rarely do I come across anything (Though I did get my RTC and TSNxRTC off craigslist a while back) Well I had just lost both my RTC and my Hybrid for no obvious reasons, and was heartbroken.
About a week later, I'm just browsing through the community pets section of craigslist, and run across a listing titled "Oscars and Catfish FREE" I get really excited, and click on it. When the picture loads I fall out of my chair when I see two huge oscars and a Marble Pim in a tank much too small. They were only located about 15 minutes away, and I went that night to pick them up.
I took all the fish home, and the people were very nice, knowing that the fish needed more room and better care. They even gave me all their remaining food, chemicals, filter media, and a bag of new black gravel (all my tanks have black substrate so it was a great score)
I came home with a 19" Marble Pim, two huge tiger oscars, a large chocolate cichlid and a large pleco. All these fish came out of a maybe 55gallon cube tank!
All the fish but the pleco and pim are pretty beat up, but healing now with good care and food.
I have wanted a Marble Pim for as long as I've kept fish, and havn't been able to find one, and now a 19" gorgeous cat lands in my lap, for free!
I think it was one of the best days of my life!
