ok i just obtained a fair amount of field rock (75-100 pounds) and a few pieces of driftwood. is there any other way other than boiling them to get rid of the bad stuff.

well i have also heard that you can grill them, or put them in the oven.

You can put them in the oven, boil them, pressure wash them, bleach them, or just heat treat them in the tub (my preferred method).

Make sure u put the driftwood in a cover container before putting it in because it will never saturate enough right away when u put it in the tank.

thanks guys i got the rocks clean in my bath, scrubbing them down with a toothbrush, but they came out pretty good, got them in the tank and the fish love them. sorry they are so blurry, i dont have steady hands.

Are they siliconed together? If not, be careful, because your fish can knock them down, and they can damage, or break your tank.
