i want to add some driftwood for my plecos in a tank of vics and synos. I have very hard water with a natural ph around 7.8. Does anyone forsee this being a problem? The tank is already established and I do have vic buffer from seachem i could add if needed during water changes......

it mite be ok, but as you already probly know driftwood will lower the ph, and some kinds leech. theres really no way to know how much it will lower your ph until you do it, the only thing i would be worried about is keeping a steady ph, the fish may get used to lower ph during the time between wcs, and then get used to higher after wc and so on.
