Really nice looking pieces you got there. I wish there was a place like that nearby me!

How long and in what manner do you soak them before placing in your tank? What about beach (marine) driftwood?

Im going to try and pick up some new waders this weekend and look for some small pieces of driftwood for a 10 gallon tank. And for my 55

Wow, looks like a bonanza. Let us know how the pieces work out in your tank.
No hope for an area like that here in Arizona. What we DO have, though, is Cholla, which is becoming quite the accessory for Plecos - both forr chewing and for hiding spots. I haven't ventured out in search of usable pieces, yet, but plan to do it next time I travel through a Cholla "forest" (they aren't native at my altitude).

I think people forget that nature can provide exactly what we need for our "fake nature" tanks. All the rock and driftwood I have in my tanks I've found just walking around town! :)
