Need a nice large piece of driftwood for my new aquarium. A stump/centerpiece would be ideal, However also looking for a large branch. I'm in the Hartford area, but from July 11-17 I'll be in Ocean City, NJ on vacation. Can probably pick something up near the end of that week. Let me know, will pay cash or trade. (Some shale, granite and other rock available, in addition to several decorations, a smart phone and a Paratilapia Poll.)

Thanks!

Tom

I'm in NJ by Manhattan, but unfortunately have none to offer. I'm always looking myself. I'd be on the lookout in Ocean City for overflow areas that push driftwood in and beach it. I hit Sandy Hook beach in NJ myself, as well as the Delaware river for the driftwood in my 2 tanks. Most of the driftwood I've seen in the Jersey shore area is great, but too large for my 55 gallon.

Driftwood prices at the LFS or online store are unreasonable. I prefer the scavenge method. I wish I had enough to part with to help you out. But, seriously if you go out around the shore in NJ, there are some great pieces to be found. I've gotten some great stones there as well.

Best of luck and I hope you find some, or someone who has some to offer.

yea that is definitely something i plan to do. Gonna see how much goodies I can snag and fit in the car before my family notices :P If it means I can't bring the Xbox, then SO BE IT! -leaves brand new xbox on beach because my fish tank is more important-

I have few large pieces, pm me your email address and I can email you some pics.
you'll probably pass me when you go down to Ocean city, NJ.
