Does it matter which driftwood is used in a tank for Pleco's? I have seen and used both Malaysian and "natural" driftwood. The only real difference I could tell was the "natural" had to have slate weight or be soaked till it was waterlogged and the Malaysian sank on it's own weight. Does it matter to the Pleco's which is used? Thank You.

No the wood eaters actually suck the bacteria that grows on the wood. Some of the panque species actually eat it. I have used all sorts of woods over the years with no promblems.

Wow, I just glanced at your question, and the guy who answered it. I definitely read both of your names as being the same person, and I am sitting here wondering why you would ask a question, then answer it for yourself, then thank yourself for answering it....
