The big one in these pics is soft all the way through. It will make good pleco food but I would trash it. The smaller one is good to go.

The hollow ones in these pics are cool. The one in the first pic is pretty delicate now (it was in one of my tanks for years). The other hollow one is really cool when you see it in person.

This is that big one I was talking about. One end has two cypress knees and the rest is a root. The white coating is that fungus layer that I was talking about. It doesn't rub or wipe off.

These last two pieces are the remnants of a cypress stump that tried to re-grow by forming knees in the remaining live material after the tree had fallen.

Ive always wondered how you would be able to get a large piece of natural wood u find safe enough to put in your tank. I found a bunch of nice pieces at a local river and thought about using them. Nice find by the way
