hi guys i got some drift wood from a local river that looks like it had termites in it and is rotting at the stump so should i put it in my tank a quick answer would be nice thanks!

i found some from my lake. this is what i am doing . power wash it or sand plast then if you have a spare tank put it in there with some gold fish or some thign to check if it is fish sake. buyt dont put it in you tank right away

its too big for the oven any other ideas? dont have a pressure washer or sandblaster.

fine sand paper might work but idk

If you cant soak it in anything because it's just too big, wash it off the best you can and put it in the tank and hope for the best. Pouring boiling water on it will take care of surface stuff but the bad stuff, if there is any, is probobly deep in the wood. I collected my driftwood from a local river, hosed it off, stuck it in that tank and never had an issue. But, every body of water is different and every piece of wood is different. I say go for it!

Go to a wall mart or some were they sell big tubs and get warm water to fill it.I been told to put bleach in it to aswell. after I would dump some boiling water and let soak in the tube for another few days with a few guppys.

Scrub, Scrub and rub-a-dub in a tub. Corny.
Seriously, scrub and power wash it. If you dont have a power washer, take it to your local coin-op car wash and power wash it there. If it was totally submergered in the water were you found it, it probably only needs to be scrubbed aggresively.
BTW, if you do take it to the coin-op, DO NOT use the soap/wash mode, just RINSE.
