I'm Over Here Now
I grabbed some sweet DW from the local river. I pressure washed it, but it is to large to boil in a 55 gallon drum. So my question is how to go about getting this ready to put in the tank. Do I just let or dry for a while? Thanks in advance

I recently found some driftwood in my neighbor's yard that was too big to fit in anything that I could boil. I found a tupperware container that fit most of the wood, and I boiled/heated pasta pots full of water and just poured them over it. It remained too hot to touch for almost a day (especially sitting outside in the 105 degree heat). I also soaked and scrubbed the wood in tap water before any of this, but right now it's the centerpiece in my 55 gallon tank, and the fish don't have a problem with it, and the water is crystal clear.

Fill up the bath wit as hot of water as it will go them poor boiling water into it and let it soak for a couple weeks let it leach out then dry it that's what I did in my 100 gal and it works jus fine and the water is still clear

Not yet. Just pressure washed it today. I can't boil it, but tannins don't bother me tho. I will pour the boiling water over it in the next week or two. Just don't want any parasites or hitchhikers in there.
