I have some annoying algea growing on my driftwood. I dont mind some nice green growth but this stuff is dark in color and ugly. Right now there are no plants in the tank. I have a 48" T8 marineglo, 48" T8 aquaglo, and a hood with 6 6700k 65w coralife bulbs (only have one turned on). This tank used to be planted. Right now the tank isnt as bright as Id like. I am planning on turning on all the coralife bulbs, so will I need to plant the tank to avoid too much algea? If so, is there a floating plant that would work well? The tank is a 150tall, so its very hard to aquascape. Any thoughts?
