I have this piece of wood that my chameleons no longer use and I was wondering if I can use it for my tank or no? If yes how should I clean it?

Clean bathtub w/ hot water and fill w/ hot water and a cap of bleach. Let soak 20 min, shake it around and drain water, repeat with no bleach and tap dechlor to rid chems. Throw in whenever

Interesting Peice Though!:D

Yep bleach and water does it, but if it is from outside for future reference you should bake or boil it before the bleach soak.

I wouldn't risk it. Who knows what kind of disease those things carry. Buy a piece that will sink right away made for aquariums.

I used a piece of wood for reptiles that was in my boas tank for 6 years. Sanitize the crap out of it and it will be okay.

Okay. Thanks for the info, I was going to do it today but I used the rest of the bleach I had when I cleaned my dogs house( spot on the side of my house). So I will do it tomorrow after I get some more bleach.
