I have a nice piece of driftwood i bought at my local LFS and wana put it in my tank as the center piece. I have been soaking it in hot water for five days to get the tannins out of the wood and draining it evry nite and putting new water in it. ive been useing a cooler to soak it in cuz it maintains higher temos witch seem to reales the tannins more. I would boil it if i had the pot but my method seems to be doing ok for now. How long does the wood usually take to stop leaking tannins?
