driftwood sawdust

Is there a trick to reduce driftwood sawdust? I don't know why, but I have 5 pieces of driftwood and at the end of the week the bottom is filled with sawdust. The only plecos I have are goldies L14.

don't know how you can reduce it. I have loads of wood in my tank with only one 5" bn pleco. I can't believe the mess he makes. thats what plecos do. gives me a reason to keep up on the wc's. does'nt effect the water but it does look like there is fish crap all over.

I thought it was fish waste too, but way too much to be fish waste.

If theres plecos and driftwood Id say its from them chewing the wood.Vac it up,no other way.If you really think the wood is just falling apart and making a mess throw it out.
