Manzanita-driftwood.com I believe he is a member on here as well..manzman or something? :)

What kind of wood are you looking for? Manziman sells amazing manzanita wood. Betta factory on amazon and eBay has great Malaysian driftwood. Haven't found a good mopani vendor yet

Pretty much any wood is going to float unless you buy it pre-soaked. Some will take longer than others to sink though, I think.
My manzanita only took a few days to a week. Malaysian..I have a piece that I've had since august or so? Not sinking. :P It is really thick though.

I just got 6 new chunks of Malaysian I put in my tank yesterday. They all sank instantly. Manzanita typically takes < a week. I never presoak or boil any of my wood

Its common to think you need a "special" kind of wood for aquariums, but as long as its mostly dried out and dead it can work! Just have to stick in the oven on 250° for 10-15min or boil or just let it dry out in the sun after hosing it down. Just be careful! Make sure the woods not rooted and falls apart!

The best pieces of dw I've got I found myself, creeks and riverbanks are hot spots for dw! Here's a piece I pulled out of a creek a couple years back:uploadfromtaptalk1404167894125.jpg (one on left)

I'm glad yours sank right away. Come tell my big piece to do it! It's tied to slate and still floats up after the thread loosens, grr. You're right though I misspoke, even I have had some small pieces sink instantly..I just forgot. :(
