I picked up some malaysian driftwood from lfs over 1 month ago. I boiled it for a sufficient time, then I put it in the tank. Over the last few days, I not-so-pleasant smell has been coming from it. It wasn't there when I first put it in, but 5 weeks later, something is funky, it almost smells like urine. Anyone know what this is how to fix it. Thanks

Try a 25% WC and try some carbon to remove the smell....is it a earthy smell? that is normal from a healthy tank. And when was your last water change? 5 weeks ago?

I actually just cleaned the tank today, I do about 17 gallons on a 55 weekly. I have a lot of juvi CA's in there that I know will outgrow, but thats why I clean it once a week, there's 2 Texas, Sal, Sev, Vieja, and a pleco. I know too much, but there small and aggression is minimal.
