Simplifying my setup and going with one driftwood centerpiece. Now thinking if I should get some live plants (anubias, java fern) to attach to it. Just looking for some opinions, what do you guys think? Plants or no plants?

If you think your fish would let you get away with it I would tie some anubis to that stump just to give the tank a dabble of color..

I think having some plants would make it look better. It's a nice tank w/ cool fish, but it looks so dark and all black. I think a lot of your fish there would appreciate some color and some plants like the guy above said. You've got a lot of monsters in there so any live plants you put in would feed off the heavy bioload of your fish.

If it was my tank, I would add 1 big fake plant with leaves/stems that stretch from one end of the tank to the other. Or I would put in a few small fake plants so your fish could make their own territories.

a small plant would look nice just for the added color.. i would go with a some sort of java fern since the african is just going to spit sand all over it... anubias is a bit tougher but its going to look like crap with sand spit all over it all the time..
